Im home now after racing round three of the World Cup in Leogang, Austria this past weekend. The week in Austria was good. I had a few fun days with my teammates before the race and was enjoying the warmer weather. The track was really difficult in Leogang. There were a lot of new sections which the dirt was still soft, so the ruts and holes got really bad. I crashed in my quali, but still made it into the final. Sunday I wanted to do a clean run and not have another crash during my race, so I rode a bit more cautiously and made in down safely. I finished up in 32nd place which was good, but not great. Aaron took another win and we were top team again which was awesome. Im excited for the next two World Cup rounds in North America in a few weeks.

Fort William World Cup
The second world cup in Scotland just wrapped up and the weekend was pretty exciting. Although I was having fun on the track and enjoying it, I had trouble getting up to speed for the quali on saturday. The track here is very fast and made of gravel, so its unlike almost all the riding I have done in the past. Most of the other competitors have raced this track before which really helps you get into it a lot quicker. I had a solid quali saturday, but knew I needed to pick up the pace to do a ride I was happy with. For my race run I had a good warm up and went out fast. I rode the top really well and went through the woods fast, then had a crash just before the second split. I was disappointed to crash and upset to move backwards in the points. Its an empty feeling to come this far from home and put so much into a race that ends up like this. I gave it my best shot and really road the top the way I wanted to, so I am proud of that. My team was the top team overall this weekend and we got an award, which was pretty cool. The next few races should be more comfortable for me because I have been to the venues before. Next weekend I race in Leogang, Austria for the third round of the world cup. I think I will like the track there and I'm looking forward to that one.
